I have made a few boats  (and a couple of birds as well) very enjoyable, and no mess. A scalpel, pair of scissors a cutting board and a tube of white glue and you are away, but start on something easy and build up. Get their catalogue, a lot more than just boats.

I have a card Bismarck at the moment, but not for building , enlarging the sheets by 157% I get to the Fleetscale Bismarck size that I am building. Photocopy the parts I want, spraymount down onto plastic card and you have a three dimensional part, invaluable for all the parts that only appear on the fleetscale drg. in two dimensions, or not at all, and when I have finished, I still have a saleable book to ebay.

I have just completed this model from one of Marcle Models Polish Shipyard kits.
The kit is of laser cut card with ready shaped dowel for the masts and yards and turned brass cannon.
Glue, paint, paint brushes, a razor blade and even a tapered dowel to apply the glue are included in the box.
The model was a real pleasure to build.

I built the Olympic Mountain oil tanker made by a company in Germany, a while back. It was so nice to see progress quickly. NO paint, NO toxic glue. I'd like to try the SD -14, just for something REALLY different.
