Hopefully a very merry Christmas to you and your family with a very speedy recovery. AND WHAT EVER YOU DON'T LEAVE THE NURSES ALONE, IF YOU CAN GIVE THEM A HARD TIME THAT MEANS THAT YOU ARE GETTING AND FEELING BETTER (And if you can chase them they will send you home sooner)  O0 :D  O0, Besides looking at a good looking young lady will always make you feel better  O0 O0. And why do you have to wave good by, take a lap top with you and you can keep up with the Mayhem and keep us abreast of how you are doing, cause we are all concerned ! !  O0

Best Wishes

Speedy recovery Jorg  :-))  Dont forget to plunder the nurses supplies box for useful tools, scalples, syringes for riveting and bigger ones for oiling shafts, bandages for netting, surtures for rigging lines, sail material etc. They must have a mine of goodies in there , keep a look-out. Hear from you soon. O0

good luck. and after surgery - every day spent in bed equals three extra days of recovery. so if i have surgery, i spend at least a couple of hours in sitting up the chair and take a few walks around the unit. sure helps to keep away hospital acquired pneuomonia and blood clots in the legs. often times the RN and the doctor's won't tell you that cause they are afraid to "xxxxx" you off but you should know better :)

Back again....
« Reply #22 on: December 19, 2008, 11:30:31 am »

... escaped from hospital... they send me home. As it is just 500 Meters away I have a go once a day for treatment and changing bandages... but can`t stay too long at the computer as sitting, walking, lieing on bed.... everything hurts really badly...

And no, the nurses are out of any discussion.... :P
The only highlight was the female surgeon which got me under her scalpell. But she knows me now in a deepgoing, totally different side.....

However: Rough times don`t last, tough people do!
