Servo Grease?
« on: December 22, 2008, 08:49:07 pm »

Hi All,

Not an electrical question, so perhaps not suited here but....

I'm using a mini-servo to drive a radar unit. It's ball raced and quiet enough but since it's not being used in short bursts, is there a 'correct' grease to lubricate the (nylon) drive train for longer, say half-hour, sailing periods? One that won't react with the sort of whiteish grease often found.

Thanks

Hi Tony,

You could get away with using tamiya ceramic grease, this is similar to most types used in plastic/nylon servo gearing.
