If you spray bug spray in the workshop, to get rid of some pests, it will settle on everything and then when you go to paint it sends the paint off....

Roy, Surely a Divorce is a better and safer bet than messing a nice paint job up!  ;D

You're a very fortunate man ambernblu, don't think you'd say that if divorce had happened to you, and you'd probably think at least twice before joking about it as well. Am I right guys?

Anmo,

My apologies if I gave the wrong impression, but unfortunately I was that soldier too! Joking about it, in my book, is just one way of dealing with it, as there ain't many other ways if you want to remain sane!  :-\

Even after 15 years, in many ways I'm still paying daily for the divorce (I still have quite a mortgage which should by rights have been paid off over 5 years ago!) Added to which, being a single parent for nigh on 10 years - my three kids lived with me after the split - then latterly, two of them went off to University. I had a heart attack in the middle of all that, thanks to all the stress.... so yep, making a joke of it is about the best way I know of dealing with it. Hence also, my model boat stuff, radio etc is all well over 10 years old.... there was just never any time with three kids to look after and a full time job too!  :(

But the bottom line now is I live on my own - I look after myself - I do what I want, when i want to do it... and I wouldn't have it any other way - 'cos I've been there, done that and got the T shirt (Big time!)  ;)

Sincere commiserations and deepest sympathy ambernblu, somehow I just knew you were going to come back with something like that. It's been quite a struggle, but 15 years after my divorce, I consider myself very fortunate to be better off in almost all respects than I was before, but we'll have to compare our T shirts sometime.

Sounds like a good plan anmo, I'll look forward to it!

One thing I'm sure of, my kids are a lot better off than they may well have been - and thats the main thing i guess... well that and the fact that I never lost my sense of humour - even tho' it gets me into a bit of bovver now and then...  ;D

Cheers, Brian

Brian and Anmo,

Don't worry mate no offence taken, it will take a lot more than that to upset me, my missus tried for the first twenty years, doesn't bother any more, just take it like water on a ducks back just rolls off.... ;D ;D

Just remembered there is another product available to remove adhesives etc it is available from most good motor factors and is made by 3M Products,it is available in aerosol form, just spray on wait couple of secs for it to soak in and wipe off,it does not harm paint in any way shape or form
