Can anyone please tell me the overall dimensions of the 1/35th scale Tamiya 'Pibber' Vietnam river patrol boat? I can't find it anywhere on the 'net....

This would be very easy indeed to convert, pretty much the same size as my Smit Tug, the one im doing next is even smaller.

It's just about the right size for me Andy...I think I may be able to carry this one. And it's a good bit slower than the rigger!

Yup I carry mine to the lake, with a tescos fancy greenpeace bag with the charger and radio in it.

I see youre trying to sell the rigger. Hang on to it for a bit and see if you get used to it, if not I might buy it off you. Got to get a job first though...

It's on ebay at the mo Andy, it's far too quick for me...like a greased weasel mate, I'd never be in control of it. I want something slow to suit my reactions.

Hi U-33, I had a look a couple of months ago at the tamiya pibber in Antics with the intention of R/C on closer looking theres very little height under the rear deck to get the rudders etc under so I didnt bother, also the original boats this is based on are propelled by jet drive to enable a very shallow draft to get in close to the banks of the rivers

Hi Les,

It looks as though if I decide to have a go at the Pibber it will certanly be a challenge! I have some of Mark's tiny micro mini servos and one of Dave the ACTion Man's mini esc's, so it MIGHT be a feasible conversion...

You did, I thought that Tamiya was going to do a new version of the Cat.  {:-{ The PBY Catalina is one of my favorite air planes, this is what happens when you combine a hell for stout ship with an airplane.  O0

My partner at work is a dedicated member of the 'Killer Cat' team, Andre...he drives me mad talking about it. It's a lovely 'plane, I agree...but no way would you ever get me in the thing!
