Availability of Richard Webb's P/S Princess Elizabeth plans?
« on: February 13, 2009, 03:51:07 pm »

I'm interested in the plans for the paddle steamer "Princess Elizabeth" featured in the Traplet Publications book "Making Model Boats with Styrene". The book has a link to the author's website, http://www.scalemodelboatyard.co.uk, where you can apparently purchase plans of the boats featured in the book. However, this website seems to no longer exist! Is there any other way to obtain these plans? The book does have a postal address for the author, but I'm not sure if this is still current.

Sorry to hear of this! He was certainly an innovative + creative modeller and I learnt some useful construction techniques from his book. Unfortunately I missed the thread relating to his death (in Nov 2008) as it was in the Chit-Chat section which I don't often visit. I can't find the thread you mention, but I'll search again later.
