"Sangsetia" Coastal Patrol Craft
« on: September 28, 2006, 09:39:32 pm »

Picked up the above in need of TLC and finishing.

Got some1986 Model Boats magazines showing the build but need some plans to get her finished properly.

I understand that she was a Metcalf Mouldings build but they havn't got them any more.

It has been suggested that i try Model Boat Magazine but they have dropped off the web.

Any ideas chaps? Need a winter project!

Sangestia is listed in MB 1998 catalogue (the latest I've seen) as MM1389 at 1:24 scale giving a loa of 44" beam 9". Credited to David Metcalf.

The plans dept number is 01689 899228. The young lady there is very helpful if you have the plan number.

Greetings - I have plans and probably could copy portions if you'd like. I think there are three sheets, you're probably needing the detail portions.

Let me know. I'd be interested in seeing photos of yours, I've taken years to finish this one here!

Mike,

Thanks, the  hull is complete and most of the superstructure has already been rebuilt and i am left with a box of fittings etc. Photocopies or scans of the superstructure/above decks would suffice.

I would love to see some pictures of yours, not seen or heard of any others although i understand she was popular.

I spoke to the chap who sold it to me yesterday and he said he had a problem getting her on the plane, what set up are you running.

Regards

Simon
