Lifeboats
« on: January 20, 2009, 04:06:38 pm »

Getting a bit bored with the long slow build of HMS Victory,  so am thinking of a Lifeboat, kit form.

I've decided the 1:12 scale are too big to get in the car and are expensive.

So,  choice is between the Model Slipway 1:16 Tamar and the Speedline 1:16 Severn.
The Severn is the dearer kit.  Any advice as to which one from you experts????

I'd go with the Tamar of Slipway.............it will have instructions for a start.
Knowing Speedline. having had a 1;12 trent and now a 1:12 Tamar..............instructions are none existant for the main build. %% %% {:-{

Model Slipway Ken, great kits.
I'm just doing their 1/32 one while I wait for parts for my trawler.
Smaller and a lot smaller I know but the instructions and drawings are great.

Thanks for your replies.

One correction.  The Speedline 1:16 Severn does come complete with plans and instructions. A sample of them is on the Speedline Webb site
