Hi,
I hope someone can help. I have recently inherited a marine steam plant from an old relative and intend to build a boat to fit it in. However the steam plant requires some work to make it fit for purpose and my problem is it is constructed with small imperial nuts, bolts, pipe fittings etc. and I don't have any spanners or sockets to fit. I have had a look on line and don't seem able to find any suppliers who do these small imperial sizes. Does anyone have any suppliers they use or can recommend.

 :-)) You can get B.A. spanners and sockets together with nut runners from R.S. online.......Ray.

 :-)) Another site for BA spanners and the like is the model steam railway site Trackshack,this one is easier to find things on but these things are not cheap wherever you go.........Ray. :-))

Why not go for a small adjustable spanner? Works for me.

And end up rounding every nut on the engine.
We are talking of 10/12 BA sizes
You must have a really small adjustable.

 :-)) I got a set of open ended spanners 0BA to 12BA and a set of 0BA to 6BA nut runners had them for years would not be without them,never needed anything else on my Chedder plant and I certainly would not use an adjustable spanner on anything,nothing so ugly as rounded off nuts on a steam engine,I have spent 10 mins looking and found 4 or 5 sites that do them mostly people who do model steam bits....Ray.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions gents, I was obviously putting the wrong phrase in to the search engine earlier, have found several now.
Must agree with Ned, I don't like adjustable spanners, they kill all small nuts and bolts (at least in my hands).
The set on eBay look a good start, cheap enough and hopefully a collection with the right sizes in. :-))

try a clock maker supplies ,they have good small spanners . :-))

eg 0=11 ba spanner set.
