My Deep Quest is to be fitted with a Kort nozzle as the main steering mechanism, and a thought has just occurred to me...is it a good idea to fit a fixed rudder to the nozzle? Does it help in turning the boat in any way? Or what about twin fixed rudders...is that any better?

You'll have an agile boat no matter which version you choose, just go with what uo like the look of.
My second boat, a much modified Vic Smeed Bustler was fitted with a kort nozzle with no rudder. I won all the steering competitions with it.
