Maplin speed boat props

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a pair of props for the Maplin 'Bat'  boat ( the speed boat with wings) . The prop diameter is 40 mm the shaft thread is 3mm and the length of thread on the shaft is 4mm.

Hi Dan, here's a link to the Maplin page with a general picture of the boat, I will post a picture of the rear end as soon as i can get my memory card back from a neighbour.

  • Powered by 2 powerful 380-type high power motors for high speed action!

I think the above dictates the choice of prop unless you are fussy about exact scale.

Thanks for the reply Stallspeed, a two bladed prop as per the original is whats needed the problem is getting two with opposite pitches with a 3mm thread. It look very much like a re-shafting job.No longer a simple repair but another project to join all the others and being retired i just don't have the time.

Do you mean they put an M3 thread onto a 4mm shaft?

I think Robbe or Graupner supply M3 props but my local model shop even does 4mm bright steel.
