I have spoken to Anth just recently, enquiring about 'Holmsider' which is due for sale shortly, spent quite a while in conversation and found him nothing but helpful and knowledgable, I notice as well he has a PK Harris Hydroconic hull that can be easily turned into one of the Tyne tugs, Alnwick, Bamburgh etc which I intend purchasing as well.

I had intended paying Anth a visit to his Sunderland Factory, but being a Newcastle lad I dare not be seen in Sunderland, So when you recieve my order Anth post them out under plain brown paper lol.

Peter.

Ordered my hull from Anth, he sent it before he'd been paid for it, plus a few freebies as well, plus loads of advice and good wishes. He's even making a few special custom parts for it.

I have nothing but praise for the man, he's really going that extra mile for me....and in this day and age and what with all the financial restraints that goes a very long way in my book.

Top man.... :-))

I bought a nothumberland coble hull of Orion just before christmas to which the boat has been built up from that. Orion Hulls are top class and would advise anyone thinking of buying one, to do so. You wont regret it. My Friend has also bought another hull off them and again the quality is excellent.

My hull has just arrived, to say I'm impressed is an understatement..it's perfectly moulded, no high spots, no low spots and no lumps and bumps.

Just one problem...I think I'm gonna need a bigger flat. Oh, and a bigger car!

Pics later...

Unfortunately Paul....not yet. Although Anth is working on it, hopefully all the rudders/vanes will be sorted out soon, and I'm going to see about getting him to make a set of internal bulkheads as well. He's making me a custom build watertight box for mine as well, which may become part of the hull set.

It's a nice set of mouldings for the financial outlay mate, it would look good alongside your V boat. Scale is approx 1/60th....comrade.

I've decided to put him to the test, and have ordered one of his general purpose tug hulls, for use as a tug for my Algerine Minesweper :-))

If the quality of the mouldings are anything like the Victor, you'll be well pleased with your hull Andy.

Little tug hull arrived today, have fitted motor, propshaft and rudder, placed batteries, cut out the deck and am currently in the process of sanding it to shape.

I have done the servo in with double sided tape and silicon, has worked well in the past, so if the silicon is cured by tomorow afternoon it should get some sea trials down the lake :-))

Apart from a small lump in the inside of the transom, the moulding is perfect O0
