Dave, isn't your nearest Maidstone (small lake but allow IC) or Ace club at Slough, just off the M25.

Nice to see that boat get so very well restored.

now just for future reference and ease when getting the old paint off a hull.

If you go to a full size marine shop, you can get fibreglass paint remover that will not attack gel coat.

This stuff is brilliant, you just paint it on and leave it a hour or so, then just wash off with water.

It realy dont hurt the original gel coat at all.

in the top pic the cabin of this boat was painted in a white colour, then 3 coats of various shades of cream, and horrible finnish.



this is same boat after just painting on the paint stripper and washing it off, then just light hand polish to reavel originallight green
