Hello all,
The West Hull Model Shipwrights are a new scale only club forming at Peter Pan Park,Pickering Road,Hull. The neglected and weeded up Victorian boating pool is being sorted out by the City Council .
The club is working closely with 'The Friends of Peter Pan Park' and the Hull City council to ensure that the new club water is ready for use from April '09. A varied programme of regattas are planned along with MPBA scale qualifiers and the 09 Scale Final !.

Hi all, You may have seen the around the clubs feature in Model Boats Mag featuring the West Hull Model Shipwrights. Well the good news is that ,at long last, Hull City Council have sent in their 'chemical men' and they have zapped the canadian pond weed once and for all.
They used small pellets, like lawn weed and feed, fired from an applicator which was fed from a knapsack on the operators back (are you following this?).

The power was supplied by a small generator slung below the knapsack tank.

So Peter Pan Park in Hull is weed free and the club is well and truly up and running. Further info from [email protected]  or see MPBA lists.
