Its a personal donation as I am still a model boater outside of Amodelworld.......

I would like to say thanks to both Martin and Bradders for running this forum and long may it continue.

Martin,

Can we have some figures on what the costs of the hosting is going to be, I presume you will start of with the host for web VPS-1 costing £213.72 a year?

I don't think that's the reason, we are just demonstrating our support and "pour encourager les autres" as I believe the French have it. The more of us who pitch in, the easier it will be for Martin and the more riotous next year's party.  :D

Most of the plumbers I have seen would cause more leaks then they fix, about the only thing they do really well is charge.... :-\ :-\

Hi Martin

As a newbie tug builder, I have learnt so much already. I couldn't bear to think it might all stop through lack of funds.
The forced break was a stark reminder of what we were missing.   :(

I've still got enough for a trip to Warwick. I shall wear my 'MAYMEM BADGE' with pride. I have just purchased my first tug, and who know, I might even buy another !!    :)

Please keep up the excellent work, you are more appreciated than you know.

Cheers....         Tug---Kenny

Having had (and still having major computer problems) I missed the start of the donations. However, I have now done my bit.

The PayPal system prevented me (from France) contributing so I had to contribute the old fashioned way.

Like your French, Colin!

Martin, as some have said, we will need a reminder next year. I understand all the reasons why you do not want this to be a formally constituted Club. It will also ease the potential tax problems if it remains informal donations between friends, However, I think you should put out an invitation next year.

Someone said "...about time to make it [the Forum] professional...". NO, not if you mean impersonal, overly complex, and impossible to access real people! I think the way Martin runs things is highly skilled, imaginative, flexible and helpful. But then I am speaking from a week of struggling with some major companies who call themselves professional.
