OK Guys, many thanks for your offers of donations etc which has pleasantly supprised us and there are many valid points to take on board. I must say though its really nice to see that the many hours put into the site is so well recognised with such great affection and enthusiasm.

We have so far managed to keep the forum running by allowing some advertising space to be purchased and also from our own personal finances which so far has allowed us to make ends meet.

The costs are going up quite a bit but we are still happy to finance this ourselves as we feel that without your already generous contributions to Mayhem with articles, pictures etc there would be no site at all.

We will not charge for any memberships as this is not what Mayhem is about as this is a hobby site, but if we can make it self financing then that would be great. We do not want to run it as a club as we would have to put together a board and produce yearly financial reports etc and to be honest theres enough to do without this.

We have however taken on board your most generous offers for donantions and to this extent have created a donations (via paypal)  page within Mayhem. Any contributions will be put towards the increasing costs for keeping the site running and any developments which are made. http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/paypal.htm
Any contributions will be confidential and in typical Mayhem style will not give any 'preferential' privileges to the contributer, as hopefully demonstared so far by keeping the forum a fair and friendly place to meet up.

Now then, just to spice things up a little bit and set a few tongues wagging, some of the contributions will go towards the first ever Model Boat Mayhemers weekend early next year, May ??, yes really.....!!!!!!...oooo I see another thread looming....

Kindest regards, Capt Dobey and sidekick Bradders...

Hi Bob, It's a link direct to the Paypal site ( via Mayhem ) which has very high security so it could be your security settings in your browser. If you have your own paypal account, you can go into  paypal and do a 'send money' to [email protected]

It's also the same email address to contribute via other methods - [email protected]

Gribeauval - from you, I'll only take used notes in a unmarked brown envelope!  ::)

Have had on/off conversations with Martin via Mayhem for some years now so my donation was well overdue (even when he thought I was the other Roy!!!). :P  Thanks for all the evenings spent increasing my knowledge and expertise in my chosen hobby Martin. It's a pleasure to finally have the oppotunity to do something for you in return. :-* :-*

Contribution sent too. Thanks guys for getting this a little more organised. The informal donation of a gift is a wonderful way of showing our appreciation of the portal for our community.

cheers

Of course we have to remember that costs are ongoing, next year we must remember to donate again. I have learnt so much from mayhem, its really good to be able to put something positive back in.
