Hello BB...it amazed me too just how much room there is in the hull. The mp3 player is only tiny and speaker won't exactly fill the Albert Hall with sound, but close up it should be fine.

I'll post up some pics later of the initial superstructure fitting out, I have all day tomorrow to sort that out.

There was a guy at my club who made a model of the Radio Caroline vessel once, I can't remember the name now, and fitted an MP3 music system.  It of course played music from the early sixties and always drew comments and smiles from those watching.  Even though the sound quality wasn't brilliant it added a whole new dimension to the model.

I remember an article in a magazine about that, or something similar...

U-117 had an on-board sound system, it would play a whole series of commands and general sub talk, all in German, of course...then as a finale it played Klaus Doldinger's introduction to the theme music from "Das Boot".

I did record Bernie Wood speaking in German, but decided against adding that to the tape...just in case any spectators spoke fluent German! Didn't want to be responsible for starting WW111...

Patience Andre...patience. I plan to it properly, but working out how to arrange for the stern section to snap off as it tips up is proving a bit of a task. Fear not chap...it's possible.

err...I have that already, believe it or believe it not. It's a fibreglass moulded one with two channel radio installed...in case my aim is off and I miss the iceberg.

Actually, I built it years ago for the big Titanic, which was how all this started.
