Futaba Skysport
« on: June 20, 2009, 10:07:43 pm »

Todays daft question follows.

A very nice man gave me a Futaba Skysport T4YF in 40 meg, on charging both the red & green light on the front of the set remained lit.

Having no instructions I presumed the red light meant low battery, so I replaced with a battery out of my other futaba which I know is good. Went through the charging procedure again with the same effect, i.e. both lights still lit.

Can someone offer advice please.

hi there,

On the SkySports T4YF - when you have red and green lights showing together - it means FULL CHARGE

and when the green light goes out - and the red light begins to flash - it means BATTERIES RUNNING LOW

no lights - NO CHARGE

Hope this is of some help.

Hi Colin

I have this model as well as the Skysport 6 and find it a great radio. I prefer it when running my Springers as it's so straight forward to use.

Just one thing I noticed, (might be me !!) but when the model sails off across the lake I sometimes loose signal. I figured this was due to the arial not being vertical, so keep an eye on the range.

I still have the drawings you sent me for the Yacht build. I will get around to building her one day, I promise.

thank you Maninthestreet for the instructions. very useful indeed. I never had any, so this will come in handy.
