Hi Rob,yeah i know what you mean,as it is it looks like a dogs dinner, but that will change, once i get it up here, but i,m still no nearer to finding out what boat its meant to be,my confusion lies with the things that are on it,that should,nt be there,i.e.fittings too modern,i,ll just have to keep searching

She has the looks of a WWII subchaser. But the stack shouldn't be there, at least not on a US built vessel.

She looks kinda sort of, but not really like neither of both! %%
At any rate, she's a fine ship, and doesn't really HAVE to look like anything else. I'd say you got a bargain. Now that she's yours, you can change her into anything that suits your fancy. Unless I'm building a historic model, such as the Bismarck, or some other warship, I never build them exactly the same as they look on the box anyway. If I go to a model show, and see twenty five "Happy Hunters", or "Aziz's", all exactly the same, I just yawn and move on. But an "Aziz" that someone has modified, or even just painted in their own fleet colors really catches my eye. :-))

Hi Capt Jack, regarding, not sticking to the picture on the box,you have mirrored my sentiments exactly,i have a nice model of the Bismarck in 1/128,its what we call a nice Stand Off, model, when its sailing on the pond it looks the biz, it does everything asked of it,and gets admired everytime its sailing, but out of the water, some of our older members who consider that all models must be exact replica,s,make comment about, the one big prop, instead of the 3 it should have, they comment about the lack of this bit or that bit,but i always tell them the same thing,"my money,my model,if you don,t like it,don,t look at it"
