I had a dream...
« on: June 25, 2009, 05:55:38 pm »

Hi Guys!
I had a really kool dream last night. It was really wierd. I guess it was because I have been thinking of what radio to use in my model boat I'm building.
But anyways, the dream consisted of new technology. "Recievos". Instead of servos and speed controls, and a reciever and a battery pack, It was all elimminated. The recievos hooked directly to the rudder and the motor or motors, and had thier own reciever in them. They also had their own battery. Kind of a watch battery type thing like in your wrist watch. The battery only had to be changed every year or so. They still had to be re charged after each session tho.
Also, another thing, the recievos and motors were installed on these "pegs" that just snapped on and you could interchange your recievos from boat to boat. The motors could be done this way also. The recievos recieved a signal from the computerized transmitter the same way as they do now, it's just kind of cleaned up a lot.
Then my dream reverted back to old radio control boats my Dad had and I remember how big everything was and big dry cells in his transmitter and huge mother boards in his boat reciever, so I awoke this morning and haeaded down the hallway with a smile...I guess we are already underway quite well.... Didn't Futaba do a 2 channel "brick" many moons ago??  Built in receiver and 2 servos - went well with the metal M series transmitter!
The wheel turns ...

Dreams about finishing a OMRA race :D :D :D :D :D

I've discovered that my nightmares about finishing last, only seemed to occur during my post race nap ....
so I now have a PRE race nap.
