Graupner Prinz Eugen/price difference
« on: June 25, 2009, 11:52:45 am »

Hi,all, whilst searching around, looking for the best price for the Graupner,Premier Line, ships,i came accross, two vastly different prices, for the Prinz Eugen,

At a shop in Southern England,£1037 + postage

from a shop in Germany, £769 + £25 postage,
Both of these sellers are making a profit, obviously one more than the other,or is it a case of greed and daylight robbery, if i do decide to buy,i know where i,ll be shopping,

That £1037 is the Graupner price + good old VAT.

Hi there Wullie.
While there is a big price difference there could be a reason.
1 This kit is made by Graupner which is a German company that trade in Euro's. If the UK shop ordered it back early in the year he would have got £1 to €1 + he has a higher delivery  cost to him than a German model shop. Now the euro has weakened the German shop has a better price due to the exchange rate.
One think to think about. if there is a problem with the kit were going to be easier / cheaper to send to back to England or Germany .
If I was you see if a UK model shop can price match if they won't get it from Germany.
I have a list of European model shop web sites if you need any let me know.
