SOUNDS like a good idea. Martin  what do you think, would the numbers in the south be viable
for such meeting, maybe just a one day'er     ???

im always interested in meeting up with other modellers but sometimes meets are a little out of reach.

being right down on the southern coast, Southampton travelling way up north is a bit far to go sailing.

a southern meet sounds good to me  ;D

I think Martin is right. Initially a single meeting in the middle of the country. From south of Guildford I can make Wicksteed in a day but I might book into a local B&B if necessary. Whichever location is chosen, people are going to have travel considerations.

Hi,
The Northampton and district model boat club ran the scale finals two years ago and are doing so again next year, We have names and addresses for B & B and guesthouses, Travel lodge etc. Get in contact either via e-mail or meet at The International boat show and we could help with accommodation.

Why do we suddenly need TWO threads on the same topic?

Please guys, lets stick with the original post so everyone knows what's happening! Diversifying into two (or more topics) will only leave members confused...

personally I think Martin should lock this topic and stick with the original thread....

Regards
Eddy

Think you are right Eddy  just the one thread, mined you I wish Martin had not work he's
magic while I was in the middle of reading it . gone and beat the computer up again.

I think the venue is reachable from the south, for most anyway, as Martin said start with one
if all goes well. maybe alternate venue's can be found. ( A yearly Mayhem road show )

entertainment  by Martin & Bradders ,  NO need to thank me for this Idea Martin

Has Wickstead any mains power for the dozens of discharged/forgotten to charge batteries or can we get hold of a genny?
Or will it be a case of in-car chargers as usual?

Sorry to ask!
