For a school A level project I am going to design a radio controlled boat.
I am undecided as to what hull shape I should use. I would be using a nitro engine. To make my boat unique I am also looking at making an impeller(like a jet ski) I also do not know how to go about making a hull. However I have found this hull boat design But i do not know how the sides have been bent? Any help, ideas, plans or suggestions you have would be much appreciated.

  The images in the link you've posted are a good description of how the boat was built. The chap has used a typical construction for this type of boat. It appears as though he is using plywood for the hull, fastened to the supporting rib structure. Plywood will bend quite freely to follow the hull shape.  Use a thin grade of ply, say 1/32" to 1/16" thickness and cyano it to the ribs. When the hull structure is done coat the inside with fiberglass resin and the outside with fiberglass cloth and resin. This will form a strong, lite hull that will fill your needs.

I have to say I personaly would avoid coating the outside of the hull with glass and resin, it does require a fair amount to get a really good finish. Glassing the inside is a must (as you will be going bown the nitro route) and rubbing down the outside, and using several coats of good (not water based) wood primer and undercoats should give you a good (waterproof finish) which you can then put on a couple of finish coats.

Do you intend to run this boat on a pond?.
Lots of Local Authorities have banned the use of IC engines.
It would be a shame to build your boat then find you cannot sail it.
