Swamp boat

The narrowboat is now down to final detailing so so to next to be built is a swamp boat ( just to be totally different) %%

Main hull assembled

fibreglassed

Now to let it dry out for a day or two before painting.
Next thing to decide is will it be IC or electric power, maybe swappable pods to give me the choice depending how I feel on any particular day  <*<

Thanks for that info - it gives me a good starting point for the electrics  :-))
My boat is 23.5ins by 9.5ins with a depth of 2.25ins. The hull is built entirely from 3off 4"x36" balsa with braces from 3off 1/4" spruce.The rest of the design is stil in the air but I suspect I will be using twin air rudders.  %%

Hi Guys/Gals,
The Action Man Swamp Boat is all made from Styrene 1.5mm. Motor is Speed 600. Prop is 7" I think. All the working stuff has come out of an electric plane I built but couldnt fly.
The Action Man doesnt do owt but look " Cool ".

This one with the " Crocodile ", The Action Mans arm moves with the rudder movements.

Found a 550 motor hang around in a drawer so fitted a prop adaptor and 7x6 prop and the whole caboodle got fitted to the airboat along with the rudder frame and prop cowl.

Hi Gromarlie ( do you have a name ? )

Is that a Pusher Prop?, just asking cos if not it will suck instead of blow. :embarrassed:

Actually it is a tractor (standard) prop but fitted backwards and the motor reversed so that the wind blows the right way  :}
I did need to get a pusher prop for the IC engine as thats not so easy to reverse  >:-o

Ray,

Are you going to put a deck on that, cos if not it will soon fill up with spray and splashes from sliding and skidding!
