Bredette and Electron
« on: July 25, 2009, 08:09:05 pm »

Hi All

I'm new to model boats but I already have 3 projects on the go..

Now I am also chief overseer for another 2 builds, not bad for a beginner eh?  :D

My Children, lad 8yrs, lass 7yrs are both keen on my new hobby so they have decided to build themselves thier own boats.

Daughter is building the Bredette and Son the Electron from Glynn Guests book 'Small Radio Control Boats'.

Any comments or tips welcome.

We'll keep you posted on the progress.

I'm Hoping to avoid competition, one is built for speed the other is pretty with long endurance, which is better?, there's only one way to find out  <*< {-)

Thanks Rich

Just found this thread, great to see the kids involved.

A tip - too late for these builds maybe- an alternative to using pins is masking tape, I use it loads and find it is very versatile.

Just ordinary cheap stuff from B&Q is fine, but take it off as soon as the glue is set.
