Either Model Power or Component Shop (both sponsors of this site and in the traders directory) will supply a replacement with a higher capacity therefore longer life between re-charges.

Thanks Jim and Barrie - I'll try those and see what I can come up with.  Many thanks,

I think I've found what I need at Model Power - I've sent them a photo of my old battery to see if I've got my eye on the right one.  Haven't heard from them yet but I suppose they are sorta busy and will reply later in the week.  If not I thinkl I've seen one similar to mine on Component Shop web site but they describe the battery as being square 2x2x2 - but mine is more like 3x3x3 - anyway I'll ask them later if I don't have any luck with Model Power.  Thanks for the help so far guys.

Make sure you tell them its for a Hitec - the plugs are different for Futaba. I bought one from Component Shop at the Doncaster Show.

Yep OK Barrie - I noticed that some of the plugs were different so I did mention that my TX was a Hitec and I also sent a close up photo of the plug taken with a digital microscope that I use for examining metal detecting finds - but thanks for reminding me about the different types of plugs - if I have to get in touch with one of the other companies I'll remember to mention the Hitec

Cheers Mate,

Ian,

I know that MP do one with the correct plug - not sure about Component Shop. They didn't have one at the exhibition and as I have a spare plug, I just bought a Futaba version and I will change it over. I am sure they will fit the correct Hitec plug for you - they sell them as a separate item so it wont be a problem.

Hmm..... - Neither MP nor Component shop have replied to my email enquiry about batteries.      Anyway I'll ask at the two York model shops, no doubt thet will be able to get me the correct type for my TX - 'cos if it's wrong they'll sort it out - better than me ordering one blind and then getting the wrong sort......  so much for internet buying eh...
