USA holiday

Off to the USA tomorrow Boston ,New Haven New York  Philadelphia Gettysburg Washington DC Any advice on model boating /model engineering and Historical ships to visit?

If you go to NewYork you just have to see the Intrepid, loved every second on board her. But they won't let you see the engine room or the bridge  >:-o

Boston has a great Antique model boat shop (some of it a bit pricey)  its not far from"the legal Seafood" restaurant (also worth a visit if you like lobster).
The Harbour is well worth a look around.

i know its a distance away but if you get the time, Patriots Point naval Museum is good, USS yorktown is there

hi there in Philadelphia you can see the world's faster liner the SS United States. It in a relay bad state.

I remembered when I visited Boston from NY, there was this first US nuclear submarine that made history by diving to the poles. It is called the Nautilus and it was interesting to go inside to have a tour. The sub is along the coast, so you will have to make your way to Groton, COnnecticut.

If he goes all the way to Wilmington, North Carolina, he might as well visit the Maritime Museum in Virginia Beach, Virgina
How about the P T Boat museum? Wasn't that somewhere near the Boston area?
