Has anyone built something like this? It will be interesting to have one just like the duck tour in Singapore.
Is there any plan or kit out there?

or if you want a real challenge you buy a normal rc car and remake it to an amphibious, that's something I'd love to do if I had experience and time enaugh.

Hi,

For you modellers interested in amphibious vehicles heres a few pics from the International Amphibious Vehicle Assosciation, the international rally was held in the Lake District this year- I was over at the same time for the annual Windermere Steamboat Rally and my host, who owns a 1950's Amphicar himself took me to see them out of the water- we then went to the steamboat rally the next day in his amphicar and took her out in Windermere for a few minutes.

Heres the pics-

Greg

I remember sitting outside The London Apprentice one sunny Sunday afternoon several years ago & watching an Amphicar drive down the slip & into the Thames - much to the amazement of the majority of patrons  :o

I have to ask - are they as worryingly unstable in the water as they look??

No, they are a better boat than they are a car- just a small freeboard so they are limited that way.
