Turning Gun
« on: November 07, 2009, 06:07:28 pm »

Hi,

I want to have a rocket launcher on one of my models that turns 90 degrees left and right from the centre.  Is there a servo that is capable of this and where would I get one from?

As an alternative is there a product that it tailor made for this purpose.

Anyone any idea's on the subject?

This is what you're looking for, use a P96 with a standard servo. You can adjust the speed & endpoints, perfect for the job, I used one for the Bofors on my MTB

Either that or if you wish to turn the gun round even more, try using a "robbe pulley set", this includes a couple of pulley wheels and cord, plus tension spring, giving you at least 270 deg's of rotation.

I use them on my water monitors on my fireboat. :-))
