German WW2 F Lighter
« on: September 08, 2009, 03:45:12 pm »

Hi All
Can anyone tell me where to get more details on German F Lighters, the only thing I can find is a 1/350 resin model by WEM and the few pictures available seem to be of this. I thnk it would make very interesting large scale model with its massive armament including 88mm guns.

A German modeller is building a 1/100 RC model here:

Not sure if this is the exact type you're looking for, but it might be worth contacting the builder about sources of plans, photos etc.

Very many thanks Edward, will help me enormously, gives me a good idea of the hull size and shape, I can work on the superstructure
basing it on the WEM model that I see is also mentioned in the posts.
One again Mayhem members come to the rescue. :-))

Richard,

The German site Modellmarine also has a bit.  See this diorama http://www.modellmarine.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1422&catid=118%3Amkayser&Itemid=1 and the build articles (still waiting for part 4) http://www.modellmarine.de/index.php?option=com_alphacontent&section=6&category=176&Itemid=59 .  Good luck.
