First timer's guide to setting up a metre boat
« on: September 12, 2009, 07:14:30 pm »

I do not know what I might be letting myself in for but I have added a section to my web site with this title. I wrote it several years ago and forgot all about it until a friend took up racing a metre boat and telephoned to ask a question to do with this text. I did not know that he had a copy of it but he said that he had found it to be useful.

I brought it up to date, I think, and up loaded it to www.ivorbittle.co.uk  hoiping that others would find it useful. Do not try to download using Firefox, use Google.

There is so much to be said about these racing yachts that I may have missed something important or indeed got something wrong. I wll amend if it is necessary.

Hi Ivor
I'm not sure if it's just a temporary problem but none of the book or article links work for me.

You have some very interesting and informative stuff there, I hope the site is up and running again soon.

All the best

Try searching my name on any search engine other than Firefox. I am the only person with that name.

Ahhh..., it will be me browser then.

I'll install Opera later on tonight and give that a try.

Thanks Ivor

Lester Gilbert's site will tell you all you need to know about IOMs, and much, much more.  :-)
His site is here:
                      http://www.onemetre.net/
and for basic set-up
                                 http://www.onemetre.net/Race/Roughset/Roughset.htm

This is just in addition to Ivor Bittle's excellent site.
