Just a few details from a newbie!
Having spent the last few years moving around the Home Counties living in rented accommodation I have now beached in East Sussex. (UK)
This constant movement and lack of space meant that I had to dispose of my R/C fleet in the early part of this decade.
This was made up of the following: (but in no particular order of building).
1) ‘Inga IV’ Wind & Electric powered R/C Motor Yacht - Glass fibre and wooden kit by Wedico.
2) ‘Berlin’ Electric powered R/C Ferry – Moulded plastic kit by Wedico.
3) ‘Anteo’ Electric powered R/C Tug – Wooden kit by Panart.
4) ‘Glasgow’ Steam powered R/C Tug – Moulded plastic and wood kit by Graupner.
5) ‘Creole Queen’ Electric powered R/C Mississippi River Boat – Wooden kit by Dumas.
6) ‘Smit Nederland’ Electric powered R/C Tug – Moulded plastic and wood kit by Billings.
7) ‘Atlantic Conveyor’, Electric powered R/C RoRo ferry as converted for the Falklands conflict – Scratch built (Plans courtesy of Cunard).
8) Submersible car, Electric powered R/C submersible – Scratch built using TV series ‘Night Rider’ toy car body.
9) ‘RML 542’ Electric powered R/C Rescue Launch – Based on Kingston Mouldings Fairmile ‘B’ Hull and scratch built superstructure.
10) Everglade Air Boat, Electric powered R/C – Wooden kit by Dumas.
I have various photos of vessels 1 to 6 (and somewhere I might be able to locate one photo only of No.7 and a couple of No.9). So if it is of any interest I could post them to a gallery.
I have retained, but not sailed for many years the following:
1) ‘Atlantis’ R/C Wishbone Schooner – Plastic and wooden kit by Robbe.
2) ‘Pirate Ship’ Electric powered R/C boat – Converted children’s toy by Playmobil.
As I have now settled and have a permanent workshop I have unpacked two boxed wooden kits that are to be my reintroduction to this hobby.
1) ‘Etoile’ Static Sailing schooner – Wooden kit by Billings. Keel and frames assembled before I discovered this site!
2) ‘Le Superbe’ Static Ship of the Line – Wooden kit by Mantua.
That all for now (more than enough you will probably say!).
