Clubs around Leicestershire

Hi guys,

This is must be asked loads of times, but I can't find anything, does anyone know of or a member of a model boat club in the Leicester area? I live in loughborough so the coser the better.

Isn't the King Lear club in Leicester, but they don't seem to have a website....

I think there are some folk who use the old gravel workings at Wanlip for sailing. Not too far from you.

Re Model boat clubs in Leicester -
The King Lear Model Boat Club meets at Watermead Country Park to the north of Leicester near Wanlip off the A46 - type in the post code LE7 1PD on Google Maps.
The park is over 140 hectares with 12 lakes, ours being the large one with stone statues set in the water of King Lear and his merry men (just visible on google).
We have use of the water 24/7, with the usual Sunday morning popular slot and have a purpose built landing stage.
The club was formed around a year ago, we hold monthly meetings, have exhibited at the Warwick model show and hosted a round of OMRA offshore powerboat racing.
