Hello all.
Another new face (well, name anyway).
I'm Ian, frequently known as Spook, from Barry, South Wales.
I have one build to my credit so far, the Northwind 36 racing yacht, which I built from a kit about 3-4 years ago. It looks nice and sails nicely as well, although not very frequently and, as a result of sub-standard storage will need a bit of TLC around the rails before it makes another outing.
I bought the Model Slipway Sentinel kit about a year ago but had no time to work on it. However, having made a mid-life career change, I'll now have a bit more time to devote to it. So far I have only put the prop tubes and rudders in place and opened up the various freeing ports etc, but today I put the r/c bits together for a dry-run and remarkably everything worked first time. I found this forum by accident, when searching for details on how to connect up the r/c gear, but hopefully it will be a happy accident

.
I'll let you know how I get on (and probably ask a lot of newbie questions along the way.).
Cheers,
Spook
