Can any forum members from the Crewe/Cheshire area throw light on ABC Modelsport of Crewe - they are taking orders on-line, not delivering, not answering emails requesting information on orders and continuously  'engaged' or the phone is off the hook !!!!!

Had a problem with ABC about three months ago, ordered some items from their website, paid by card and waited ages. Goods did not arrive, nobody answered the phone line and my e-mails were ignored. It took nearly six weeks and lots of effort to eventually get my payment credited.
Would not touch them with a barge pole.

I come from Crewe, and with regard to ABC, if you are into things that fly or run on four wheels you are OK, but anything marine is a dead loss.
The chap that owns it is a legend in his own mind, and looks down on anything marine. He doesn't even stock basic bits.

ABC Modelsport has sold up the shop in Crewe. the shop has been bought and has a new owner its now ABC Models.

All radio controlled models are gone, he is more into the plastic kits but still has plasticard, wood, brass, paints and some adhesives.

I was only in there not two weeks ago, and the usual miserable face greeted me. Now I know why.

I went in for a male/female pair of tamiya plugs (standard on all nicad main battery packs), not for a model, but for my mo'sickle charger. 'Don't stock 'em, no call for 'em any more'. Well what are people using in their models then, mains plugs and sockets?

Methinks we are better off without that type of model shop owner. I hope the new owner has a much better attitude.

Anyone from or near Crewe coming down to Wicksteed?
I've just unexpectedly won a tug on flebay and you could do me a huge favour by picking it up for me.....

... there maybe a crate of  beer of your choice involved. !       :-))
