[HS93 (RIP)]

I know and I hate that, hahaha. Thats why I ask so many questions on here, I live in Norway and usually has to wait two weeks for things to arrive in my mailbox.  Then it's really annoying if I unwrap it, test it and burn it, all in ten minutes  

I had two arrrive today and will let you know if they burn out in 10 min and will put the test results on hear, if you over prop a motor or set iy up badley it will burn out.
I have no connection or vested interest in these motors by the way, so if they pass or fail I will post the results.

Just to give you an idea, this is No Mustang Marks's Canning tug (with one MMB900 motor) towing two "nere do wells" (and the dingy was heavy before we got in !!)

Hi Vikin, as far as I remember its a 3inch 4 blade with about a 6inch pitch, but I'm sure Mark will put me right.

Argh Pete, straight running towing a rowboat......

Well in 1938 my grandfather did just that, with my great uncle, my nan, great aunt and a member of the club along for the ride !!!!!
(not bad for a single cylinder steam engine !!!)

Not sure exactly howe big this bait boat is, but mine will hold about 2 1/2 kilo bait & is powered by 2 540 motors ( Direct drive) running on 12v.

The hull was designed to take water pumps but they arer to slow & eat batteries.

Brisk walking pace, but it has standard Props, with 2 blade "race" type props it would be a bit faster.

Any faster & it gets tricky to control, especially at night & range.

It's not necessarily so that the fish get scared of noise...  Sometimes they even come looking to check out whats happening.  I've had fish only seconds after a large method feeder goes splashing into the water.  And when we go fishing the bait might well be laying there for 12 or even 24 hours after driving it out there, so if the fish gets scared off for an hour or two it doesn't really matter.   Maybe it's different where you're fishing.  Or maybe you're not fishing at all.  But thanks for your concern

Well I have a trawler weighing approx 40lbs .I always use for any big model a car fan heater motor from a local scrap merchant cost approx £10 to £15 . These motors are quite cheep very economical running on 12 volts drawing approx 3amp with a 80mm course pitch prop. I have yet to burn one out even running at 18 volts.
