42ft Watson Beach Launched Lifeboat Charles Dibdin CS No 32
« on: November 21, 2009, 12:55:26 pm »

In the early nineties I was involved in stripping this vessel down to its frames and rebuilding it
as a luxury motor cruiser  ( A real 1:1 plank on frame job with diagonal mahogany sheeting
and then nylon and epoxy coating
Iwould like to make a model of the vessel as it was before it was sold out of service and would
appreciate any info as to links where I can research and get plans etc

Yours Aye

O.N. 948 - Charles Dibden (Civil Service No. 32)

Built 1959.

Stationed at Walmer 59-75, Relief 75-77, Eastbourne 77-79, Aldeburgh 79-82, Relief 82-88.

Your best bet for plans would be the National Maritime Museum, although their charges are a bit exhorbitant.

Google Lifeboat Charles Dibdin loads of pictures on the web.

Send a PM to Mike "gribeauval" he's our resident lifeboat expert, he can tell you who to contact.
