UK based i am thinking. items like anchors, winches, ladders, just general stuff found on a ship.

Not meaning to be "picky", but surely any requests of this nature should give some idea of what sort of model it is, its scale and era. I mean, are you doing an old galleon or a modern warship? Without that info the question is almost impossible to answer as may suppliers of "bits" specialize and bias towards what the majority of their customers buy. Try again? BY.

Since you are in NZ and willing to do mail order try the German people at  www.modellbau-kaufhaus.de    Lots of interesting pieces in various scales, some plans of freight ships too.    The Google auto-translater does a fair job with this site. :-))

thanks. i'm having trouble finding a shop that has all or at least most parts i want.  model-dockyard have a reasonable range in or near my scale and i might have to make the rest. if you could find the shop/company that had the catalogue it would be much appreciated.
