"Vital Spark" update

In the "Most realistic" thread of last October, Phil Parker asked about my picture of the Vital Spark.

I have just received the Vic32 newsletter, which has a little snippet about the situation last Spring. Herewith the front cover and page 6.
What a pity the BBC destroyed most of the tapes!

Hi Phil
I have just spoken to Nick Walker on the telephone. He says that all are welcome to join "Friends of the Vic 32" and to use the standing order form on the back of the newsletter. The annual amount donated is optional (min. £10). Here is the back page but I'm pretty sure it can be downloaded from the website:
www.savethepuffer.co.uk
Another couple of pictures from the website:
Even after about 13 or 14 years, Anne and I still have very happy memories of a great "holiday" - she enjoyed the scenery and food - I enjoyed stoking the boiler!

Not as far as I know - I'm still in one piece! - but after 46 years of married "bliss", she's still hot! (And pretty good in the kitchen too!)

Great picture! Where was it taken? It looks like the former VIC 72.
Hopefully the other "Vital Spark" (aka VIC 27, "Auld Reekie" & "Maggie") will be fully restored before long.

I guess that it is alongside the Arctic Penquin at Inveraray.
