With regard to the ribbon that I used it can be obtained at florists in several colors

New flags for 27 mhz   White flag  Black channel numbers as from 31/12/06
The regulators are introducing 10khz spacing between channels, this will eventually give more channels to 27 mhz but may make some exhisting channels (colours ) illigal. The older transmitters will not work with the new crystals as with the receivers, but the older sets can still be used with exhisting frequency crystals providing the correct flag is flying and the other frequency used is 20khz away. For more explained info :-

Go to http://www.mpba.uk.org
on home page click on technical down arrow
click on ukrcc then on ukrcc announcment

It actually says on the  UKRCC

27MHz Band Flag         Colour Flag or Black numbers on White Flag

so  Coloured  Flags can still be used

allso this link works

I just print 10 strips at a time on A4 paper. Cut off a strip and fold it in half, wrap it round the aerial and stick it back on it's self using pritstik. They last 2 or three trips to the lake. One A4 sheet lasts about a year. Cost: one sheet A4 paper + a bit of ink and pritstik!

What program do you use to print these flags off?
I have tried this on Microsoft word with a dark green background and white numerals but for some reason this fails to print, any suggestions please

Not tried Word but it should work OK. I actually used Pressworks - 3 (DTP) but Photoshop and even Windows PAINT is OK
