I used a couple of cheap kids fishing nets for my Krabbenkutter, they are about the right shape.  I bought them in Weymouth, but most, if not all seaside stalls/shops have them.... :-)).....Smudge

Extracted from Scoonies Catalogue at  http://www.scoonie-hobbies.co.uk/

WORKING MODEL FISHING GEAR

Geoff Barker of Geoff’s Models used to run his own business making gear for 12 inch to the foot scale fishing boats, so he knows what he is talking about.   As well as making scale equipment for static display on models, he has also worked up a system for shooting, towing and hauling working model gear.   Fit Geoff’s gear and the tadpoles in your local pond could become an endangered species.

Geoff’s Models

Geoff’s Models was started after seeing model fishing vessels without any proper fishing equipment.   I make all types of fishing gear in all scales, including the following:

1.   White fish trawl, both styles ie box and two panel.   (Trawlers)
2.   Prawn trawls.   (Trawlers)
3.   Pelagic trawls.   (Trawlers)
4.   Gill nets.   (Inshore static netting boats)
5.   Trammel nets.   (Inshore static netting boats)
6.   Herring nets.   (Steam and Sailing Drifter).

For details call Geoff Barker.   Phone/fax 01482 562729
