Has anybody who has one of these actually managed to transfer off the hard drive onto DVD..
And if so , How did you manage it. As I followed the Instructions and it does not seem to want to work for me..

yes, I used a s video cable to a recordable dvd player, you can also do it via scart, it takes ages to sort out the firswt time though. there is a section on how to transfer it in the booklet you get with the v+ box, its also on their website!

Make sure you use the right scart - labelled VCR. It's the top one on one box and the bottom one on the other

Got it to work after a bit of messing , however I had to use the bottom scart on the V+box and the ext1 on the DVd Recd. Annoying that you can not as far as i can see fast forward the v+ box the commercials but I can pause the recording.. Any one would think they don't want you to bother...
..
Now I know how to set this up I can mess around with the connections (try the top scart) etc to make it more perminant..
Thanks for the advice..

If you use the tv scart , not in HD mode then you can fast forward if required. The archive facility is really to dump a sequence or recordings onto tape to clear space on the disc. On the TVDrive box it can do it while you watch something else but the Samsung will only do one playout at a time.
