TWO HULLS and a big smile.
« on: February 14, 2010, 11:58:19 am »

In the last month I have purchased two hulls with the intention of building one and selling/storing one .
They are HMS M15 from Models by Design
             HMS HOOD from Fleetscale.

As a satisfied customer and nothing else I would say both hulls are superb mouldings, both companies were very quick and both were very helpfull.
The M15 came with a turret moulding and a few fittings, plus drawings  and "plastic pack". all perfect and very useable.
HMS Hood also came with drawings and the  fittings are on their way from various suppliers.

In my opinion BOTH companies have been perfect, as have their products. Anyone wanting to deal with either should have no concerns.

As to which one to build, Ive made up my mind. (anyone know how long it is safe to store a 45" long hull before it warps/moves/becomes unuseable ?)

very satisfied customer with a big smile.

Depends on the storage conditions. If you are that concerned about storage. Put another layer of fibre glass in the hull before storage.

I`ve had a fleetscale Scharnhorst hull in the loft for the past four years,I keep checking it every now and again and it`s perfectly fine.
It`s stored in a thick cadrboard box with plenty of padding to support it ,I`ve also taped it across the beam at regular intervals to stop it from spreading,no problems  so far :-))
