Many thanks to all who responded, just been too busy drawing new plans!
I hope all you builders of the fine models get as much enjoyment as I have when drwing the plans, reward enough.

Whilst I haven't actually built anything from them yet, I have quite a few of your plans collected from magazines over the years, and am planning to build 1/96 static models from some of them. Did you draw the plans for the TS Lochiel (small passenger ship) and a 1930s cross-Channel railway steamer (forget the name) in Model Shipwright? I have both of those on my "future scratchbuild" list.

Yes I think I have done Lochiel and Isle of Thanet, unfortunately MS mixed up that one and included a view of Baroda on the obverse sheet!

Hi

Here are a couple of shots of Alice a Girl Class Tug built to a Jim Pottinger free plan in Marine modelling October 1998.  She is scratch built with the exception of ropes and prop.  She won the Committee Award, the Best Equipped Working Tug and Mobile Marines Best Equipped Working Tug Award, at the Model Boat Convention  2003 at the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum.  She also won best on stand at the Model Boat Convention  2006 at the Birchwood Model Boat Convention.  She has won many sailing awards at both our club and other shows.

Hi Jim,

How many (roughly) steam boat/ ship plans have you done?

Any that you can reccomend as personal favourites?
