Can you please give us a bit more detail i.e. beam, size of prop and number of blades? A photo would be good, too.
At the moment I'm thinking of a 385 on 7.2v, but it might need a bit more urge if it's beamy or deep in the water.

Then you'll need a Mabuchi 555.

I've got a tug slightly smaller than your trawler, Ive tried a 555 , 777 and a 900, the 900 is perfect, got it off ebay for a tenner incl delivery, brand new, he has loads left. I am powering it at 12 volts with an electronise 15amp ESC, works great, loads of towing power, its direct drive to a 48mm kort prop in a nozzle. I found the 777 motor ok for steaming, but ran out of puff for towing. Your trawler looks heavy displacement, so don't let it lack power. Go for a four blade prop. Unless you allready have the three blade.

I am just a happy customer of this seller, no relationship etc.
