Hi folks well i am back online after having my pc away being repaired after i managed to balls up the hard drive ( wish they built these things as robust a a myford lathe!) the downside is that all my pictures went west and the downloads i have nicked (uploaded) from the net! so can anyone remember the URL for i think it was a Polish  or a Czech website that had free downloads of plans.
 they had some nice canal tugs on there and some shapely steam tugs

anyone got the site book marked?

Thanks Folks!

Nice to have you back. I know it's too late now, bit if your PC has room, how about fitting a second cheap hard drive as a back up device. Two or three minutes doing a simple bit of copying once or twice a week would prevent a lot of  >>:-( and  <*< and  <:(.

Or even a USB external hard drive if you don't fancy messing with the computer's innards. Backups take a bit longer, but still just as easy.

Hope you can find those plans again. I once found a great source of out of copyright classical music and just didn't bother to download the stuff. When I needed it, of course the site had gone.

well strange to relate i am an owner off a Mac computer and these are supposed to be more rugged... in fact the stuff was all backed up on a external hard drive built by a company called lacie, likewise very rugged.... that is till they get the lighterman factor... i wonder if living in this tent in the garden has caused any problems...... {:-{
thanks for the links and yes seems like they have gone offline. hey ho will have to get the drawing board out till some bright sparks says hang on i downloaded them and posts them here.

My policy for backing up is... "How much stuff can I afford to loose?"
