Well, it hurts me more than it will any of you guys, but here goes:
The Enterprise has been a total disaster I'm afraid. I was warned about the amount of top weight I was adding to her and how tender the ship would be, but me being me I didn't listen to anyone, I just cracked on regardless.
Yesterday I did a test run in the bath(no, I didn't tell anybody)and the ship was just so unbalanced, even in the bath she was in danger of rolling over, and way down on the waterline. Obviously this was of no use at all, you can't sail a carrier like that, so this morning I was up early, and took to gutting Enterprise back to almost a bare hull. All the radio gear has been removed, and all the extra bits and pieces as well...the bow thruster, the multitude of electronics, all have had to come out.
Now she's back to being fitted with a two channel radio for rudders and motor control, a single 6volt 4a/h gel cell battery will provide motive power, and apart from the deck lights(they weigh next to nothing, so they can stay)that will be about it I'm afraid.
A quick bath test this morning revealed a totally different ship, she's now much steadier in the water, so at least she'll be safe to use.
Gentlemen, I apologise to you all for not listening to experienced minds greater than mine, I should have taken notice of Grant(uboatbuilder)and all the others who offered advice which I ignored.
