Can anyone point me in the direction of modelling timber (decking) please... Most model shops have depleted stock blaming the abysmal 'Amerang' supply chain - I guess they are 'middlemen'  The guy that does all the fancy woods says he is too busy to fill any orders before Spring
- does anyone know a man that does !!!

The last time I bought strip wood was from Modeldockyard but he has now started to charge 3.00 pounds on top of normal postage for a cardboard tube to put the wood in.  When I said I was happy with short lengths and didn't need a tube he said it wasn't worth his while cutting it up.

Consequently I purchased just under 5.00 pounds worth of wood and it cost me over ten pounds.  I won't be using him again.

If you get a copy of Model Boats Magazine there are usually strip wood suppliers advertising in there.

Try Art Veneers Ltd
     Industrial Estate
     Mildenhall
     Suffolk
     IP28  7AY       Phone 01638 712550    e-Mail:  [email protected]

Originally I got decking for my 1:128 scale KGV Battleship, and laterly for 1:128 scale USS Missouri.
They sent me three samples, each .5mm thick and of 1.5, 2.0 and 3.4mm width

Service and quality was excellent ( Using the 1.5 as the scale size for Missoui)

Hi I bought my last supply of timber, including decking timber, from Mantua models in Windsor.  They advertise in Model Boats.
