I have just purchased Warships & warship Modelling by David Wooley & William Clarke.
Whilst glancing through the book, I came across a great working feature on a scratch built HMS Illustrious by UK modeler Dave Markham.

In brief one of the deck lifts can be raised/lowered (using a scissor jack system), & a Harrier aircraft can be moved on/off the lift by using a set of worm gears & threaded rods.

I would like to ask if any body knows either the email address/any contact details of Mr Dave Markham, or if anybody would on my behalf enquire if he will be willing to divulge to me the details of how he has built these two features?

I would love to be able to (with permission) have these features built into my HMS Illustrious build.

Hi Illustrious,

If I remember rightly Dave Markham is a member of Bridlington model boat club, who sail at their own private lake at Carnaby just outside Bridlington.

I am sure if you go up there one weekend someone may point you in the right direction  so you can get in touch with Dave.
