It seems to be deja vu all over again :}

I missed all that by being nomadic and without TV at all the relevant times, I guess

More from the fertile building board :

John has been having an interesting time with the rudder assembly, and has reverted to a bought one for the moment

He would also like to know why a prop marked 40mm is about 35mm when measured over the tips - anyway he now has the necessary drive train in place and next the radio!

A GCod F4U 2.4 giggle hz set which comes not only without box, but also without instructions :((
Not an easy start for a complete beginner, I think we would all agree

Is there a set of instructions anywhere that we know of?  There seems to be on the manufacturers website, but the link to download it goes nowhere?

And a couple more pics to stimulate venerable mind's eyes

I'm guessing that this is evening sun, not the sun setting on the RN

It helps prevent the prop chewing a big hole in the bottom of the boat.  :-))

Sorry about this, I meet Bob Symes some time in 1991, he was just coming out of the old LBC radio station about 01;00am we ended up in the canteen, it was the best lunch break that I had ever had, we talked no stop about Model World and lot's more.

Media types are all vampires.  Well known fact to those who know it well.  Man in a pub said so.

I was working nights at the time for a Security Company, & one of the sites that we could take a break at was LBC.

I went to watch the last Harrier flight with John and others (we are really aircraft freaks enthusiasts, and he tod me that there has been no real progress since the last few pics.

I have the same Gcod 2.4 radio, so we will get together soon and get the prop spinning

More as it happens!
